Code of Conduct

code of conduct

The Bose.X Code of Conduct is one of the ways we put our values into practice. It's built around the recognition that as a researcher, everything we do in connection with our work will be, and should be, measured against the highest possible standards of ethical conduct. We want to provide researchers to have the most suitable and carefree environment to enable them to do work. So please do read the Code and Bose.X's values, and follow both in spirit and letter, always bearing in mind that each of us has a personal responsibility to incorporate, and to encourage others to incorporate.

We expect all of our Mentors and members to know and follow the Code.

  1. Research integrity: You should be honest in your research activities and your assessment of others' activities.

  2. You must follow ethical requirements, such as ethical approval processes and establishing appropriate governance.

  3. Do not harass, in general, if someone questions you to stop something, then stop. When we object, try to explain why. Diversity of opinion and conflicts are mostly unavoidable. What is essential is that we resolve disputes and differing views constructively.

  4. Try to foster cooperation and the open exchange of ideas within your research group. You are also responsible for training and supervising all group members to the best of your ability.

  5. Do not tell everyone everything you are doing, and do not give away all your good ideas. You have to walk a careful line this early in your career or get scooped by someone with fewer scruples and more resources.

  6. As an academic, you are allowed an unusual degree of freedom and fluidity to shape your work around the other essential things.

  7. As you embark on this new adventure, it is essential to recognise that your group is not you. You cannot expect the same from them as you do from yourself.

  8. Your team will work best if they are happy, motivated, and share common goals, aiming to create a positive atmosphere where they will want to work hard.

  9. If any mentor or senior members assist you technically/scientifically, it is your responsibility to put his/her name in the final report/draft/research paper as a corresponding author/guide/co-author.

  10. Responsiveness: Part of being useful and honest is being responsive: We recognize relevant feedback when we see it, and we do something about it. We encourage you to engage in questions, problems or even compliments on the slack platform and elsewhere.

  11. We expect everyone to appreciate and honor the privacy of others. for the privacy policy of Bose.X refer Privacy Policy.

"It might be possible that you misinterpret any of the above mention paragraphs or lines; if you feel that certain points need to be corrected, feel free to reach out to us. We are always open to improvement and become the best possible version."
